Keany Associates and Brite Kids provide developmental services for individuals with special needs and their families. We custom design innovative intervention programs for infants, toddlers, children, and adults with developmental delays.

Behavior Intervention Program

The Keany Associates Behavior Intervention services take place in natural settings, including homes, schools, and the community, helping to maximize the individual’s progress and potential in real-world situations. Keany Associates is part of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and the California Department of Education and provides intervention services across the greater Los Angeles area.

In-Home Infant Development

For children 18 to 36 months old
The purpose of the Brite Kids’ Infant Development Programs is to strengthen and enhance the child’s overall development through play. We believe in encouraging, acknowledging, and celebrating the child’s unique personality and individual strengths. Keany Associates Brite Kids In-home Infant Development Program provides 1:1 play-based services for children birth to 36 months old who are at risk or have developmental delays.

Center-Based Infant Development

Social Skills

For children ages 3 to 14 years old

The Keany Associates Social Skills program has been specially designed for the grade-school-age client, who may still display behaviors that impede his or her access to the community. Group sessions and parent/caregiver training will be provided on site, at our Westchester facility. This program will accommodate children who may have been asked to leave traditional social skills groups.

Occupational Therapy

For children 0 to 8 years old
Occupational therapy (OT) focuses on assisting children and adults with a physical, sensory, or cognitive disability be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives. The Keany Associates Brite Kids OT program is structured around the current best practices in OT, with the enhancement of treatment from relationship and play-based theories, including sensory integration and behavioral techniques.
